My name is Danijela and I was working as Executive Director of the Center for Youth Work in Serbia. Due to the war in the Balkans I lost the sense of identity and belonging to one country. Therefore, I would consider myself a citizen of the world.

In my heart and soul, I am a youth worker, always seeing potential in young people and their positive role in shaping our society. I believe that all people have a right to grow and develop to their full potential, and for me it also means ensuring healthy and safe environment to be able to do so.

No doubt alcohol represents one of the major harms in today's world, often hidden behind cultural and traditional norms. That is why I am dedicated to bust myths that are highly contributing to making so many children, young people, men and women unhappy and unhealthy. It makes me glad to make even a small contribution in making this world better and just.

Hello, my name is Andreia Rodrigues and I am the new volunteer at the Active office. I was born in Portugal and always lived in Portugal, but I decided that 1 year abroad would be a nice experience for me, so I applied to be a EVS volunteer and here I am in Stockholm!

I studied in Lisbon during 4 years and got a Law Degree from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. After learning and growing so much in college I really think that Law is the career to pursue. So I intend to specialize myself with a Master’s Degree in Humanitarian International Law in Lund, and hopefully this will allow me to pursue my goal of making this world a better place. After taking my Master’s Degree I would love to work in the European Union or the UN. I would also love to get a job at the European Court of Human Rights.

In my free time I love to travel and explore new cultures, be in the nature, read, be with my friends and learn new things.

I have joined Active in 2015 in UK. I lived in UK for 7 years, born in Lithuania. I have finished two Art schools and Art college in London. Before i joined Active I have been volunteering for Teen-Challege which stands for "Helping poeple with addictians in the streets, offering freedom". All my childhood I have seen alcohol and drugs around me, which motivates me to do something about it. I am very active and social person who likes to take chances along the way. I think i have a lot to learn in my life and my journey has just begun.

I am very artistic person in my free time I like to paint or play guitar, creating new ideas is like my fantazy world that i live in. In my free time in the UK I used to volunteer in church as a Welcome team leader and also youth from 16-18 leader talking about life purpose, God and hope. Talking in front of public and motivating others is my strong side. I hope I can learn a lot and bring much more to Active office by being a new EVS volunteer. :)
